Hello! My name is Jim. I am a rental property owner in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
I figure it was time to begin doing some energy upgrades to my properties. This is the first.
And most definitely there is going to be more.
The upgrade project for this house is siding and addistional insulation. The siding I am adding is Hardi Plank. The insulation I picked is a product from Environmentally Safe Products called Low-e House Wrap, 4PFPT. This product comes in rolls, 4' x 125'; it is perforated and single sided foile with a tab. By using this product, I will be adding an R-value of 4 to what is already in the house. Besides the increase in R-value, this product will reflect 97% of the radiant heat.
Now watch as this project unfolds...
These are the before pictures of the house. It needed to be stripped down to the sheathing.
The work begins on applying the Low-E House Wrap.
Now the last step...applying the siding and trim.
