Crawl Space Installation

1. The crawl space should be inspected in case repairs are necessary before installing Low-E Insulation.

2. Check the crawl space to determine the amount of workspace.

3. Insulate water pipes or heating ducts that hang below the floor joists.

4. Start at a side of the house that is parallel to the joists. Staple the Low-E Insulation to the band
board at the top and at the bottom of the board. Continue running the insulation across the floor
joists while stapling at each joist. At the end, staple up to the band board.

5. Start the next run as above. Overlap and seal with Foil Tape.

6. Continue across the crawl space. There is no need to wrap water pipes or duct work that falls
between the floor joists. Low-E Insulation will adequately insulate without extra wrapping.
